About
Dr. Altenberg earned her medical degree from Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine and holds a Bachelor of Science in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology with Honors from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She was a recipient of the Health Professions Scholarship Program from the U.S. Navy and completed her internship at the Naval Medical Center San Diego. She then served as a General Medical Officer with the U.S. Marines for four years before completing her psychiatric residency at the University of New Mexico, where she trained in comprehensive psychiatric care across diverse patient populations.
She is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN), reflecting her commitment to the highest standards of psychiatric care.
Outside of her practice, Dr. Altenberg enjoys living in Flagstaff, where she spends time mountain biking, snowboarding, exploring the outdoors, and being with her family.
